THE COMPANY
The State Archives of Genoa is the repository of documents and archives of public ownership in the city of Genoa with a very impressive cultural and historical heritage of over 128,000 items including registers, envelopes, volumes, strings, parcels and cards; 2,000 sheets and maps and 3,690 parchments.
THE PROBLEM
In 2004, due to the increase in volumes to be stored, the Management decided to transfer the archive to a new building and redesign the filing system to ensure greater protection of the archived material and, at the same time, exploit to the maximum the available vertical space.
THE SOLUTION
In order to exploit the available vertical space to the full, 16 motorized mobile bases COMPATTA LIGHT DUPLEX have been installed in the new building of the State Archive of Genoa.
